About Pips
Pips teaches card games the way you would learn them at a kitchen table: one step at a time, with the cards in front of you.
What Pips is
Every guide on Pips follows the same seven steps, from what the game is about to how you win, played out on a table that moves as you scroll. The rules are checked against the standard sources, mainly the rule collections of pagat.com and the United States Playing Card Company, and where tables play differently we say so.
How Pips is paid for
Pips is free to use. When we recommend a deck, the link goes to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, Pips earns from qualifying purchases. You pay the same price, and it never decides what we recommend.

Why “pips”?
Pips are the suit symbols on a playing card: the hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades you count on the number cards.
